18 Good Habits to Bring Into The New Year!

  1. Drink more water! Even if you had to infused it with fruit or add a little lemon, drink a little more water everyday.
  2. Eat breakfast! Don’t skip meals, even if you are having a simple chicken wrap for lunch, or a cup of yogurt for breakfast. Prioritize your meals!
  3. Make your bed in the morning. It only takes a few seconds, and you’ll thank yourself at the end of the day.
  4. Be more active! You can find 10 minute workout videos on YouTube, take daily walks, or go ahead and get that gym membership! The goal doesn’t have to be to lose weight, just take care of your body.
  5. Create a cleaning schedule for yourself, and assign yourself 20 minutes to finish any task you give yourself for that day. It may not even take that much time, but it’s simply just 20 minutes you are taking out of your day to tidy up.
  6. Purchase yourself a planner! Or take us of your phone’s calendar or even google calendar. Organize your week, add in your work schedule and anything else you have going on. It’ll make things a lot easier for you.
  7. Set three main goals each day, and make the first one your top priority. You don’t want to overload your to-do list, but try to do something each day your future self will thank you for!
  8. Create a budget! Use your smartphone to help, whether you download an app or simply just google how to create a budget. You’ll be able to manage your money easier and you may even be able to save more!
  9. Learn to cook or create simple meals. All you need is a starch, a protein, and a vegetable. Try to eat out less!
  10. Pray and meditate for ten minutes daily to set the tone for your day.
  11. Go to bed on time! A good sleep schedule will make you feel so much better! Try to get at least a solid six hours of sleep each night.
  12. Slow down while eating! Savor each bite, and you’ll also fill up more when you eat slowly.
  13. Volunteer more! Spend time or money improving the community. Try to do something at least once a month to make a different.
  14. Explore and travel more! Visit a different city within your state, try out a new restaurant, or even just visit a cool museum.
  15. Clean out your closet. Sell the items you don’t wear, or donate them to your local women’s shelter.
  16. Treat yourself at least once a month! You work hard and you deserve it! Give yourself some well needed quality time.
  17. Have a morning routine if you don’t already! Everyone is different so adapt your morning routine to fit your needs. Try to add something productive like a few minutes of stretching, writing out daily goals, and drink a big glass of water!
  18. Focus on your goals and the bigger picture. Don’t let anything stray you from the path you belong on. Prioritize yourself and your goals.
