What fascinates you in the blogging community? Everyone has a voice in writing, some kind of distinct style or personality in the way they write. With blogging, we are truly free to write in whatever way we want, so it’s interesting to see the different voices within the blogging community.
Why did you start blogging? I love to write. I guess it’s as simple as that. I wanted to create a blog that could help other people in my generation some kind of way– through advice, motivational posts, or whatever else I came up with. It always gives me a chance to write and write and write. I wasn’t writing as much before, and it feels good to get back to it.
What’s your favorite social media and why? Instagram, especially for my Queenly page. It’s easy to network with different people on Instagram and I also have some very awesome followers on Instagram. It’s worked best for advertising my blog posts as well.
What advice can you give to new bloggers? Just write. Don’t overthink or try to make things perfect. There were many grammar errors within my first few posts, even now I have slip-ups. I used to worry too much about the content to include and the format of my posts. Now, I just write.
What are you looking forward to with your blogging journey? I’m honestly just excited to see my progress within the years to come. I’ve had this blog for less than a year so I’m still trying to perfect it every day, but I’m excited to see the progress that I’ll make each year.
What did you do to grow your blog? I use social media to advertise my blog. My posts are automatically added to my Facebook and Twitter page, and I also add little posts to Instagram to display new posts. Adding tags to my post also helps gain more viewers and followers from other bloggers on WordPress. This year, I’m going to try to publish new content every day and see if that helps bring more traffic to my site.
How do you plan your content? I really just google blog post ideas and if something stands out, then I make a post about it. Sometimes, I come across something on social media that sparks my interest and I write about it.
Do you have any special talents? Does sarcasm count?
In what area do you feel you made the most improvement? I feel like I’ve made a lot of personal growth within the last year.
What are the three most important things you learned in 2017? As my mom says, “Take ownership of who you are”. Don’t procrastinate, even though I’m going to keep doing it in 2018. Be good to those who are good to you. It’s rare to meet genuine people, don’t take the ones in your life for granted.
Knowing what you know nowif you traveled back in time to the start of 2017, what advice would you give yourself? Think ahead. I did a lot of impulsive things in 2017 and it’s okay to be spontaneous, but when it comes to major life decisions, I have to think ahead. I don’t regret anything from last year because I don’t think I would have grown as much as I did if things were different.
What are your most important goals for this year? Get a car. Get my own place. Improve my credit.
What would a worldpopulated with clones of you be like? Crazy, very crazy. Chaotic, just a hot mess in general.
What was the most unsettling film you’ve seen? Punch-Drunk Love. You have to watch this film through the eyes of a film critic and appreciate the art and genius of it. Otherwise, you’ll wonder why you just spend an hour and a half torturing yourself.
What do you believe you deserve in life? Why? I truly believe I deserve to eat as many mcnuggets and bacon mcdoubles as I want, without fear of it catching up with me in the future. I also believe I deserve happiness and love, or whatever.
What does success mean to you? Success has always equated to fame, in my mind. Being famous what whatever it is that you do.
What would you do if you weren’t so afraid of failing? Wow, everything. I hold myself back from doing a lot, because of my fear of failing.
What’s your favorite quote? Take ever risk, drop ever fear.
